Hi Angelique, Thanks for your message. I was visiting Sysoon to correct the date of my mother's death. I rarely visit the site. I saw your message from December 19, 2013. Love to your family. Tell your Dad and Mom hi. I sent him on his email several years ago about my new address and telephone. I will send a facebook message.

Helen was born on the Island of Cyprus on November 3, 1919 in the village of Pano Lefkara, Cyprus. She was a teacher at the American Academy in Larnaca, Cyprus. Helen met my father, Michael K. Vavlitis and married him on July 20, 1947. My dad, a WWII veteran of the American Army in the Pacific Theatre, returned to Cyprus looking for a war bride. They came to the United States to New York City where I was subsequently born. Helen was a 'saint' who never hurt anyone. Great Mom! She died in Port St. Lucie, Florida on January 13, 2010.

Paul Constantine Vavlitis was my father Michael K. Vavlitis' younger brother. My Uncle was born in Pano Lefkara, Cyprus. He was a professional photographer by trade and ran the Acropolis Studio on 8th Ave. in the 1950's.
